Helping Everyone Enjoy a Safe & Fun Visit to Ripples Play
At Ripples Play, located within the Twin Trees Hotel & Leisure Club, we want every child to enjoy a safe, exciting, and memorable play experience.
To ensure all families have a fun and comfortable visit, we kindly ask that children and supervising adults follow our Rules of Play at all times.
These guidelines help maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone using our indoor play centre in Ballina, Mayo.
General Rules of Play
Adult Supervision Required
- All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- Parents or guardians remain responsible for the behaviour and safety of children in their care.
- Children should never be left unattended within the play area.
Adult supervision helps ensure children play safely and respectfully.
Footwear & Clothing
Socks Must Be Worn
- Socks must be worn by both children and adults entering the play equipment areas.
- Shoes must be removed before entering the play frame or toddler areas.
- Loose clothing, scarves, jewellery, or items that may cause entanglement should be avoided.
- Children should wear comfortable clothing suitable for climbing and active play.
For hygiene and safety reasons, footwear is not permitted on play equipment.
Safe Play Guidelines
Play Kindly & Respect Others
- Children should play safely and respectfully at all times.
- Running outside designated play zones should be avoided.
- Rough play, pushing, climbing on netting, or unsafe behaviour is not permitted.
- Slides should be used feet-first only.
- Climbing on the outside of play structures is strictly prohibited.
- Children should respect other visitors and wait their turn where necessary.
Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy their visit.
Toddler Area Rules
Dedicated Space for Younger Children
- The toddler zone is designed specifically for younger children.
- Older children should not use toddler-only equipment.
- Parents should supervise toddlers closely during play.
This area helps provide a safe and age-appropriate environment for little ones.
Food & Drink Policy
Eating in Designated Areas Only
- Food and drinks should only be consumed in seating or designated eating areas.
- Food is not permitted inside the play equipment or activity structures.
- Glass containers should not be brought into the play zones.
Keeping food away from play areas helps maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
Health & Hygiene
Help Us Keep Everyone Safe
- Children who are feeling unwell should not use the play facilities.
- Hands should be washed or sanitised before and after play where possible.
- Please notify a staff member immediately if any spillages or accidents occur.
- Any injuries, however minor, should be reported to staff.
Cleanliness and hygiene are important to creating a safe family environment.
